Should Parlia support local opinions?

There are many debates within localities. “Should there be a new traffic light installed outside the elementary school” people might say yes for safety reasons, people might say no because of the tax expense. Wouldn’t this be a good use of Parlia?

Parlia should support local controversies

Parlia tends to stick to global issues. Perhaps local controversies would be a useful service

Discussing local issues will increase participation

People are much more likely to be interested in and become involved in debates that have a personal impact. By encouraging local discussions, more people will turn to Parlia to discuss their opinions and, in the process, familiarize themselves with the larger democratic process of debate.

No, Parlia should not support local opinions

Parlia maps out the opinions of the world, and while mapping out local opinions would be interesting, it involves expanding both the site and its resources. Parlia's focus is on global and large-scale human issues.

Parlia is a young database that's still continuing to grow and expand

Parlia is young and has plenty of room to grow. Therefore it’s important to gain a stable base and as an encyclopedia of opinions for the world it’s important to map out worldwide issues. As it grows and expands its maps and resources then it’ll then be able to gather and map data on local issues.
