Selfishness is a virtue

I hate to be that person, but according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, the definition of “selfish” is:
“concerned excessively or exclusively with oneself : seeking or concentrating on one's own advantage, pleasure, or well-being without regard for others”.
By this definition, selfishness is presented as less of a virtue and more of a problem.
