Age is just a number as long as it is between consenting adults. There are of course, unique problems and issues that arise within an age gap relationship, but it is not immoral and can be done with both parties having a happy and loving relationship. Age within the adult world is an indicator of experience, yes, but different people age and have different experiences at different time of their life.

Of course, the only exception is when minors are involved, then in that case age is not just a number and that is very much a criminal offense.

I find it very sad that 'age is just a number' is an excuse made by pedophiles as it damages the idea of consenting adults in a relationship. Society is not kind towards consenting adults in an age gap relationship, whether it is for religion reasons or uncertainty.

It is very much seen a a pedophile slogan, which is very unfortunate and sad, as it can describe an age gap relationship between consenting adults as well. If a minor is involved then age definitely matters and is paedophilic.

I don't think the view that this is a pedophile slogan will change as it associated with a crime, but hopefully people will b more mindful towards consenting adults and realise this issue.
