It is incredibly difficult to see the world as a result of a Divine Plan, particularly when observing the argument from a Christocentric point of view. For example, it would be difficult to assert that the world is shaped according to the divine planning of an abrahamic God because of the problem of evil. Since divine figures like the Christian God are supposed to be benevolent as well as all-powerful, it would be hard to explain why this God would inflict terrible ills on the world for no reason. After all, how could a natural disaster that kills hundreds of innocent children be a plan made by a benevolent God?
