Scientifically, the reason why so many people believe in astrological readings is due to [hidden persuaders] (http://www.astrology-and-science.com/D-hidd2.htm), which include the desire to be a part of a group or community, and using cues that are generalised enough for everyone to associate and identify with. So whilst some astrological traits may seem very specific to a certain group of people, it is the intention for them to be that way! Human behaviour is not determined by the stars, and to say that _all_ people born in a certain month share the same behavioural traits takes away individuality. We are all unique!

It is also fun to find out what your predictions are meant to be. However, they are obviously not accurate. Astrology is based off of generalising different human behaviours for different star signs. So you can really apply most of the attributes they give you to your life, even though millions of others will do the same! No one group of people have the same life events coming up or act in the same way! They work on confirmation bias, you convince yourself that they specifically apply to you! A task- if you are a Gemini, read a Libra’s astrology predictions or if you are a Capricorn, read a Sagittarius’ predictions. You’ll find you can apply things to yourself even though your astrological sign is irrelevant.
