Television is intended to be a passive medium. After selecting your preferred show, you can simply sit back and watch it unfold without exerting any effort. You're less likely to take a break and consider what's going on. On the surface, television also introduces concepts and characters. But shows don't have the luxury of going into great depth to describe or justify circumstances in great detail, they are usually more fast-paced to prevent viewers from flipping channels. Books are a more involved mode of learning and entertainment. The reader must focus on what is being said and consider the ideas presented in the book. Books also have the benefit of being able to go into greater detail on any subject. Although television is mostly made up of character dialogue, books can take readers through scenes, characters' emotions and provide more in-depth analysis. I think books provide better entertainment because it feeds our imagination that on a TV, is limited to the screen. 1-http://www.undertheguntheater.com/are-books-better-than-tv 2- https://www.jumpstartyourdreamlife.com/books-vs-tv/#:~:text=TV%20programs%20are%20fast%2Dpaced,to%20fill%20in%20the%20gaps.

I disagree because I think television can provide entertainment incorporating music, an aspect missing or only propelled through imagination, in books. I love to read but I think the entertainment experience for both are very different and neither one is better because they both offer different strengths. For me books are a better entertainment platform for complicated stories because they can incorporate easily lots more detail about a plot, and it is not big problem to go back a few pages on your own if you get confused or lost - but this is irritating for others when watching TV if you consistently have to ask questions about what is happening. However, I think TV is better for entertaining stories about love because writers and producers tend to use good soundtracks, and funky style to convey different senses of love and romance. Therefore I think both these platforms provide quality entertainment!

I don't think books are better entertainment than television. I think they both offer differing entertainment values. I love reading, but sometimes I am too tired to read a book for entertainment but prefer television/Netflix. Additionally, if I have been reading all day from University or research, the last thing I want to do at the end of the day to decompress and have some form of entertainment is reading. Instead I want to be able to put on a show like Schitts Creek, not have to concentrate that hard, and let my brain and mind relax.
