**Charisma can be learned, but it seems like some people have an inborn quality of something more elusive that leads to their being charismatic.** - Charisma is something I think anyone can work to improve, mostly by focusing on [augmenting](https://hbr.org/2012/06/learning-charisma-2) the methods by which one connects with others, rousing their emotions and appealing to their logic to develop an overall sense of purpose and motivation. - Charismatic people are often thought of as assertive and exuberant, but some quiet people nonetheless have a charisma about them which enables them to attract and enrapture others. This adds to the side that there are some aspects of this quality of charisma which might have to be innate, since it's often quite hard to change one's nature from assertive to non-assertive/extroverted to introverted and vice versa. There might, then, be some type of quality to people that increases their charisma that, no matter the external factors of personality development and mutability, is something you either have or you don't. - I'd never venture to say this would be across the board. But I do often feel there to be some people who have a charismatic quality about them that defies categories of "assertive" or "exuberant" or "passionate" or "expressive". They don't necessarily have an animated voice or immediately striking facial expressions and gestures, and their passion is deeply internal, and calm, and listening-based, but it's there nonetheless, drawing large swathes of people in in ways that defy simple explanation. Maybe that's the kernel of inborn charisma.
