**TL;DR -- Overall, E3 was just really underwhelming. There weren't a lot of games to get excited over, the presentations were lackluster, and the overall experience was disappointing.**
My general impressions:
**Not enough games to get hyped over.** There were a handful of good titles, a few exciting ones, but mostly games that fall into the "meh" category. Very few held my interest, and as a result there is very little for me to get excited for in the next year or so.
**Most of the games were pretty bland.** Probably the worst thing that a game can be is forgettable -- and that's what most of the games were. I've seen some of the conferences twice, and I *still* can't recall the majority of the games announced.
**The between-the-games entertainment was not entertaining.** To be fair, with Covid restrictions there's only so much E3 can do to make things entertaining. But even so, most of the skits were silly at best, and boring at worst. The musical performances were pretty good, though.
**Most of the big players didn't bring it.** Microsoft/Xbox, Sega, Capcom, Bethesda, and several others had very lackluster presentations. Xbox boasted around 30 games, but only a couple of them were actually interesting. Bethesda neglected to provide us with even a teaser for the as-yet unnamed TES 6. Capcom was mostly about Phoenix Wright (not a bad series, but Capcom has a few neglected franchises that need some life breathed back into them *cough Mega Man cough*), and I can't even remember Sega's lineup.
The ones who brought it: Nintendo (*Breath of the Wild 2, Metroid Dread*), Ubisoft (*Far Cry 6, Assassin's Creed: Valhalla*), and Square Enix (*Guardians of the Galaxy, Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin*). Of course, these aren't the *only* exciting games announced this year (they're not even the only exciting games from these companies), but these are the names that stick with me the most, so that means a great deal.
**It felt like they were reaching too far on some things.** Don't get me wrong -- I know that Among Us is an *insanely* popular game. But a paltry update is not E3-worthy news. E3 announcements should be reserved for major updates, new content, sequels, etc. 15 new player lobbies falls under *none* of these categories. It's "announcements" like this that make it painfully obvious that E3 was reaching pretty far to find titles that would grab people's attention.
Idk. E3 wasn't all bad, but it was definitely disappointing on multiple levels. Overall, E3 just sucked this year.

Kazuya being announced for Smash and Halo Infinite reveal was enough to get me excited. Honestly just happy for Halo Infinite. Trailer knocked it out of the park. But yea, overall Nintendo kinda dropped the ball with lame full price rereleases once again and the new Metroid being a 2D side scroller yawn-fest, and I had low hopes for anyone else after seeing their presentation, just watched the trailer for Halo Infinite again and logged off. Still tho, Free 2 play halo multiplayer... so many noobies to bully omg lol, I hope they bring back Forge Mode again and make it free 2 play as well, and maybe toss in personal public lobbies for custom games, that would be such a baller move.

Missed most of the gameplay footage unfortunately. Most of my time was spent watching a number of people on zooms calls talking about issues that are to be addressed internally, not broadcast over primetime viewing.
