Elf is a festive favourite

• Jon Favreau’s Christmas movie Elf is a festive favourite for many. The plot follows Buddy (Will Farrell), a human raised as an elf, and his misadventures in trying to fit into the human world.
• The movie review website Rotten Tomatoes grants Elf a critic rating of 85% and an audience rating of 79%, planting it firmly amongst the best-reviewed movies on the website.
• According to Forbes, Elf is the 5th highest grossing Christmas movie of all time, earning $220.4 million worldwide. Its financial success reflects its popularity.
• Of course, film opinions are subjective and everyone has their own personal favourites. In an IMDb poll, the film critics and the public voted It’s a Wonderful Life as the best Christmas movie of all time, with Elf taking a humble 7th place.
