**tldr**; It depends on the tap water (and bottled waters, etc.) that you're comparing it to. I'll have to disagree. Fiji water tastes smooth and neutral in comparison to tap water. This is, in my experience, because tap water from different places tastes different. The water from Dasani, Arrowhead, and my home in California tastes different. Water from the tap at my Grandma's is different from the water at the cafeteria at school. Ultimately, I think Fiji water tastes good in comparison to most tap and bottled water. I think there's an argument to be made that Fiji water isn't unique because it's specifically sourced from the Pacific Islands though.

There's a sense in which if you think it tastes better, then it does. Taste (even literal taste) is subjective. Not only that, it's subjective even to the individual.
