Free Trade is the idea that countries should be able to trade with one another with minimal restrictions. As it is, international trade involves complicated taxes and limitations. When people argue for free trade, they are usually advocating for the easing of current regulations.

Pros of Free Trade:

Cons of Free Trade:

• Free trade does inescapably destroy jobs in the short term, at least. While it may be economically beneficial overall, this can come at the expense of the individual worker, especially if they are only trained in one field.

Free trade creates jobs

• If you look at the top 3 countries on the economic freedom index Singapore, New Zealand and Australia. Even during covid unemployment is around 5% which is considered over employment.
• Tariffs cost jobs always.
• Tariffs and extreme regulation and nationalisation make monopolies.
• planned economies always fail without exception look at what happened to Zimbabwe for example.
• Prices are signals which can indicate when there's gaps in the market or demand.
• The freest countries are also the most innovative creating new jobs as the amount of work in the economy is not fixed that is the lump of labour fallacy.
