I disagree because I think that Italian cuisine is the best! From pizza to pasta, the Italians know how to make food that tastes delicious and always makes me feel full - maybe it to do with the hefty use of cheese, bread or pasta in many of their dishes that makes it so filling, and makes me feel so satisfied afterwards. Also Italian cuisine has a strong tradition of post-meal coffee which smells wonderful and is accompanied by little amaretto biscuits sometimes, which are great if you are too full for dessert. Another reason why Italian, not French cuisine, is the best cuisine is because of the huge variety of ice-cream, or gelato, that are present in current Italian culture. Although ice-cream may have not been invented in Italy, the Italians developed so many styles and flavours of gelato that it is omnipresent in current Italian culture. Ice-cream makes people happy and Italian cuisine is full of tons of flavours of gelato, my favourite being cherry, or amarena, gelato. Italy is also known for inventing alot of frozen or cold-style desserts like Tiramisù, which originates from the north of Italy. I prefer cold deserts because I think you eat them a little bit slower and savour them more, also Tiramisù is super tasty as a coffee infused dessert with a hint of liqeour. All in all I believe Italian cuisine is the best cuisine because it always leaves me feeling happy, full and satisfied - and maybe a little tipsy from a post meal shot of sambuca! I do not believe any one cuisine is better than the other, I eat a plant-based diet, it is difficult for me to eat certain cuisines that rely heavily on animal products such as the French cuisine. Therefore, certain cuisines suit myself better than others. For example, I tend to eat lots of Thai food, Japanese cuisine and anything really that can be more easily adapted to a vegan diet. Unfortunately, the French cuisine does rely heavily on animal products. When in France on holiday, I found it virtually impossible to find vegetarian meals let alone vegan. I, in the end, settled for boiled vegetables, pulses and potatoes in order to be sure that the food I was eating was vegan. Therefore, the French cuisine for me does not necessarily suit my particular diet.
