I only recently got into Star Wars, and that was because of the Mandalorian. Upon rewatching the entire Skywalker Saga from start to finish I picked up on something that makes them so charming. Despite the plot holes, repetitive themes, and wooden dialogue the movies have a charm that attracts us to them. The universe is expansive and deep but what makes them fun is that they are campy. In the original trilogy the dialogue and action is stilted but it has an undeniable heart and sincerity. Something about it says that the actors are having a good time. This is an energy that is also present in the Mandalorian. I liken the dialogue and script to a video game because it is so awkward. But its awkward in a way that is endearing. The jokes and sincerity work because the delivery of the script, plot, and jokes are self aware. This self awareness and delivery is the through line that connects the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, and the Mandalorian...

The strongest Star Wars content after the release of the prequels was imo: - Star Wars Rebels - _some_ of Star Wars: The Clone Wars - The Mandalorian - some of the games (esp. Jedi Fallen Order) The weaker / worse content imo includes - JJ Abrams's sequels - Boba Fett - Han Solo (although, we can dispute this, as this film is arguably better than the above two things) If one accepts this, this I would disagree with the **singlehandedly** bit. Other than that, I agree that The Mandalorian has revived the spirit of Star Wars. It is very respectful, has a good lore, is not cringeworthy fan service (which is, amongst other reasons, what makes those last 3 entries imo bad films/series). It is truly worthy of the name 'Star Wars'. _This is the way!_
