I strongly disagree with this opinion, but there is a decent likelihood that it will go. Modern-day royals could probably actually have more influence, fame and money by *not* being royals, just like Prince Harry. The Queen despite being the most pleasant and wholesome woman on earth has been a pretty ineffectual monarch. She has deliberately been "hands-off" the whole time. This was very much in contrast to previous monarchs who despite being apolitical were very much involved in running the country still. Since she has been so uninvolved for decades she now is essentially superfluous but at the cost of having a much larger, less-accountable state which now micromanages ever people's Tweets.
