I'm just a pizza-holic. And as a pizza-holic, I can personally attest that pineapple most positively, most definitely GOES GREAT with pizza.

Pineapple on pizza is the 2020 of toppings. It'll make you re-evaluate what you put in your mouth, and there's a good chance your taste-buds will take a hit. That's if you had any to begin with. You're combining a deeply acidic fruit with an acidic tomato base, and calling it a good time. You wouldn't slap a bit of cheddar on a banana, you wouldn't grate some Parmesan onto your strawberry, you wouldn't steal a car, so why steal a mov- wait wrong speech. I'm not going to be so bold as to call those that like pineapple on pizza problematic, but I think there's a strong case for strictly monitoring them in case of any further human rights violations. Gordon Ramsey once said 'pineapple does not go on top of pizza' [1], and this is a man who once placed 2 slices of bread around a chef's head and called them an idiot sandwich [2], so you know he speaks from a place of authority. It's hilarious that this is such a lasting debate, given it is such a mild flavor. I get that it's a half-joke at this point. But I'll throw my hat in the ring anyway. To understand the flavor that pineapple on pizza is going for, I recommend trying grilled pineapple at a place that grills food like kebabs. It is sweet but surprisingly savory and especially works well with other salty and savory items. That's where the ham usually comes in, as it brings out more of the savory side of the pineapple, while the pineapple brings out the sweetness in the ham.

I don't like soggy nasty "pizza". Spending time in an "American-style" restaurant in Russia reminded me why there are unbreakable rules to pizza other than pineapple. You also can't put marinara sauce on pita bread and call it pizza either. When you start straying this far, you inevitably lose the spirit of the original.

If BBQ sauce can go on a pizza (i.e. BBQ chicken pizza), then pineapple can go on a pizza. That said, pineapple generally goes on bad pizza.

If you study PH's and how they blend together in cooking you will know this is not true. Pineapple is not acidic enough or basic enough to contribute to changing the flavor of the Pizza. It is completely useless.

regardless of whether you like pineapple on pizza or not, pineapple literally goes on pizza, it's just a fact. And imo it SHOULD go on pizza too :P.

Sweet and tangy does not go with pizza. Pizza is for meat and cheese. Any self respecting Italian would want you deported for even suggesting that pineapple could go on a pizza. It is a mockery of an excellent cuisine.

Pineapple does not go on pizza. It doesn't belong there. Because it tastes good. Why do i say this? I have really disliked pizza most of my life. I only had it because so many of my friends like it. Rather than be the odd one out at a resturant, or ordering food from home, I would agree to have this bland bad tasting food, called Pizza. You know the thing., my friends would say: "Let's buy something we can all share!" They agreed on Pizza (as they almost always did) but then when I said I don't like it, they have to reconsider. Eventually I agreed to having pizza, rather than being the odd one out, all the time. This has led to me getting use to this bland tasting, not far from, horrible tasting food. Then one day, I tried pineapple on pizza and it was not just tolerable, it was likeable. I have now got into, every few months, buying myself, pineapple topped pizza. Pizza is unhealthy, pineapple is not. Pineapple taste good, pizza does not. Some where up there, some devine spirit, sees people putting his wonderful creation of Pineapple, on top of our nasty creation of Pizza, and takes offense. It is only matter of time, before the world is punished from on high, for the blasphemy of putting the devine, on top of the tacky and commercial. STOP PUTTING PINEAPPLE ON PIZZA! IT'S WRONG!!!
