God is believed to be an all powerful creator of all existence. This statement most religions would agree is true. However,when trying to define, what god wants, and what commandments god has given, and what are the most important things mankind should and shouldn't do, then the religions might well find plenty to debate about. My point is in answering the question, I must answer it according to my belief in, and my own definition of what God is and wants. Without this I cannot have a position on whether god sends messages, or which person is a messenger or not. Unless my belief is that there is no god and there for can be no messengers from something that does not exist. My own definition of what God is, is: "A non human spirit that rules man, via the mechanism of nature and the occasional direct intervention." I believe that certain individuals, historically called "angels" or "phrohets" are infact human beings that god has shared more of the hidden rules of nature; rules that govern man's life, both spiritual and physical These individuals using their understanding of the hidden rules of nature, can use their understanding to guide mankind and give it messages from god. The average indivual is unaware of these rules and not being a "messenger" is unable to understand or percieve these "hidden rules" without assistance or insights from the messengers/angels/prophets. The reason the messages and religious laws, from various religions, often have different teachings/rules, is because the messages are given or percieved at different levels, depending on the messengers ability to interpet them and understand them and also those following the messages, ability to understand the message and live by it. I believe there is a God and some people are his messengers but i cannot prove it, either with logical argument or objective evidence. It is just a personal belief. I believe this question can only be answered by spiritual conviction rather than objective evidence or argument.
