I think the Devil is misunderstood. The Devil was lied to about what Heaven was and condemned the world for it. Did he do the right thing? No, because making the world suffer for your problems is cruel, especially if they don't know what they did. That said, I suspect the Devil was a young God who didn't know what he was doing. Every religion has a good God and and evil God. I think they're married and he had a hard time understanding his wife and her needs. He condemned her for his personal failings when really all she wanted was to love him and be understood. Her ignoring him was unintentional and he lashed out. I just want them to make up and be in love for real already!
