**Decency just in the general sense of "what is accepted socially" is, to me, fairly important morals-wise.** - Decency in the sense of modesty is much less convincing as a moral marker, but decency in its more general sense of "what is accepted socially" matters more to me personally, although (and maybe this is why it holds more weight for me) what is considered decent socially changes all the time. - Being decent---in the sense of being modest and pure---seems less important nowadays for many people, since attitudes have generally shifted to be more [inclusive of differing viewpoints](https://www.foreignaffairs.com/articles/world/2018-06-14/liberal-world), which arguably clips notions of "purity" at its roots. - However, I do think it's alright to focus on what is accepted socially (i.e., what is "decent") in a general sense, without getting too far into any concepts of purity at all. Considering current norms around what we do and don't do socially when we interact doesn't have to mean accepting them even if they don't work anymore; it can be, and I think is, a more fluid process of learning to live together, even at the largest scales. So, for instance, being able to collaborate on larger scales of community - and how that probably requires norms of "decency" for us to get by. (Even as those continually shift.) Considering certain actions right and wrong in those situations can be quite helpful for peace and prosperity, I think.
