But their squashed faces can cause health problems such as difficulty breathing and inability to cool down. - Ultimately, I think it makes a lot of sense to discontinue the selection for specific but potentially harmful features which we do just because they're aesthetically more pleasing/cuter to our eyes. It seems like it would be easy enough to make a commitment to the cessation of purposefully selecting for these harmful features.
