**women are allowed to and do enjoy sex as much as men.**
- the idea that women don't enjoy sex in the same way as men is rooted in misogyny. they are shamed for enjoying it and judged if they don't, while no one questions why men happily engage in it with a partner who isn't as inerested.
- this statement feeds into the idea that women are passive and should focus on their partner/that sex is something done to them that they only enjoy for the man's sake.
- it fails to take into consideration aromantic allosexual women. these women are not as interested in romance but enjoy sex and are proof that different women will have different experiences.
- paints men as inherently sexual and not valuing love as much which sets the standard and upholds the status quo. it normalises men feeling pressured to live up to the sex-crazed and apathetic standards society has set for them.
- it is merely a myth and [widespread assumption that women's lust is inextricably bound up with emotional connection.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theatlantic.com/amp/article/276598/)
- some men use excuses related to biology to guilt and pressure partners into satisfying their needs by claiming it is painful for them, which is an example of the harm this mentality does and how it is taken advantage of.
- [most of what we’ve been taught by science about female sexuality is untrue, starting with the idea that men have a stronger libido than women.](https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2018/oct/13/a-strong-libido-and-bored-by-monogamy-the-truth-about-women-and-sex)

As a bisexual man (man I've played this card a lot recently...), I don't think so. But I do think women and men, for social reasons, treat sex a bit differently.
I think men, for social reasons, are more likely to be blunt about what it is they want. Some people see it as disgusting or animal-like behavior, but done respectfully I just see it as honest.
Women seem to be much more guarded about sex. It's classy, but also sometimes a bit mysterious to me. I don't fully understand what it's like to be a woman.
Come to think of it, I think every man I've been with, we fucked on the first date. None of the women I've dated ever fucked on the first date.
