**TL;DR -- Finding things "disgusting" is subjective, and it varies from person to person. You can't ban everything just because someone finds it disgusting. And who are we to judge what a rational, autonomous adult chooses to do, anyway?** Whether or not something is disgusting is subjective. For example, I find doing dishes to be disgusting because I get freaked out handling other people's food waste (I have to wear gloves to get any done). But that doesn't mean that other people shouldn't do dishes just because I find it disgusting. See what I mean? If we made a collective list of everything that every individual person finds disgusting, and then banned everyone from doing them, *nothing* would ever get done. As for things that are almost universally considered disgusting, take prostitution. It's a perfectly legitimate way to earn money, but I find it disgusting to lay with total strangers for a quick buck (who knows what diseases they might have!?). But if a person finds the work fulfilling and gets the bills paid, then who am I to judge? And if someone puts ketchup on their salad, who am I to tell them not to eat it? What about picking your nose? Just flick it away from me, and we'll be okay. And if someone does something disgusting that you absolutely can't tolerate, then leave the room. I can't handle smoking, so I go away when someone lights one up. If it's not hurting anyone, just leave it be. Adults are, well, adults. They know the consequences of their actions, so let them deal with it and move on with your life. I'm sure you do things that other people find disgusting, too. Like judging others.
