It's the "should" that bothers me - washing daily is good, but washing (say) once every second day is also fine. I am uncomfortable with establishing the former as a normative standard.

Complaints about 'discrimination' against short men are usually raised in bad faith to express a false equivalence between women's oppression and minor issues faced by some men. Consider the claim that women who prefer tall men are hypocritical for not wanting to be objectified or subjected to fatphobia.

Even in this comment section, concerns about 'discrimination' against short men are being used as a vector for misognyny. However annoying it must be to be a short man, the statement given above is nothing more than a sexist dogwhistle.

Boxing should not be banned for two reasons. Firstly, boxing is important in Romany Gypsy culture, and GRT (Gypsy, Roma and Traveller) people are quite oppressed enough without the moral guardians trying to 'ban' a sport that is integral to their traditional life. Secondly, the state should not use force to prevent people from doing something that does not harm anyone who did not consent. If two people both consent to a boxing match, are you really OK with the police manhandling them into a van and dragging them before a magistrate to have their money taken or be thrown in a cage, all for the 'crime' of getting involved with a sport that you dislike?

It's important to note that "there are no good landlords" is not the same proposition as "no otherwise-good people are landlords"; arguably, "there are no good landlords" is even compatible with a stronger contention like "many landlords are good people." What it means is that no-one is good qua landlord; no landlord is good in their capacity as a landlord.
