See, this is actually a contributing point as to why white people should not have dreadlocks.

Coily hair can naturally form locs and be unassembled FAR more easily than someone without textured hair trying to achieve the same 'dread.' The reason that a number of people have the impression that dreads are "dirty" is because people without that natural curl pattern in their hair literally just knot the strands, which makes the hair completely unmanageable (can't brush it/wash it/style it/etc.).

Unpack why you think they're ugly by yourself though, that just seems sus and bordering racist to me 👀
