• In “Sophie’s Choice”, Sophie, a mother of two, has to choose between her children. She has to choose one to survive, and one to die.
• This is perhaps the greatest choice in cinema, but not the greatest moment. There are other moments in cinema, showcasing bravery and kindness that are more important than Sophie’s choice.
• Often, as humans we focus on the painful and the bad. Instead, the greatest moment in cinema should be something uplifting. It should showcase the best of humanity and give hope, not draw on the bad.
