**An accelerated drop in unemployment rates expedites inflation.** The inverse nature of the relationship between inflation and unemployment makes it an exceptionally complicated matter, but why? By definition alone, each seems to be an independent concept. → [Unemployment](https://www.investopedia.com/terms/u/unemployment.asp): When an employable individual actively seeks work yet is unable to find any. → [Inflation](https://www.dictionary.com/browse/inflation): The inordinate rise of prices related to a heightened volume of money, resulting in a decline of currency value. However, the correlation between unemployment and inflation is dependent upon three things: rate, time, and each other. A drastic drop in unemployment rates triggers the rise of inflation, and when either one happens rapidly over a short amount of time, they exacerbate the other even more, making their relationship [inversely correlated](https://www.investopedia.com/ask/answers/040915/what-difference-between-positive-correlation-and-inverse-correlation.asp). Due to their [intricate relationship](https://www.britannica.com/topic/inflation-economics), it's imperative that both be controlled in equal measures. When a factor like unemployment remains constant, then the price level of the money supplied stays proportional.

**`Inflation and unemployment are inversely related. Control one, you control the other. But, inflation might be easier to control.** - Inflation and unemployment are [related](https://courses.lumenlearning.com/boundless-economics/chapter/the-relationship-between-inflation-and-unemployment/). When unemployment is low, inflation is high. When unemployment is high, inflation is low. This means that if you control one, you basically control the other. - So, controlling one may not be more important, as they’re related. However, I do feel that controlling inflation might be easier than controlling unemployment. - This is because economists and governments and bankers (I’m unsure who actually controls inflation) cannot force people to go out and get jobs. People have to do this at their own free will. People can be bribed, but the economy may create 100 thousand jobs, only for fifty thousand of them to be filled up. Forcing inflation to do what you want seems like it would be easier. - Also, inflation effects more people. Changing the unemployment levels will only really effect the unemployed.

inflation does not exist. it is an imaginary concept tied to imaginary numbers that we use in exchange for goods and services for no logical reason. the only important thing is the labor, and the goods/services provided by the labor. if there is less unemployment, more goods and services will be provided. therefore, controlling unemployment is more important.
