- [Culture wars](https://www.press.umich.edu/pdf/9780472070886-ch1.pdf): Debates over topics like gender equality and climate change, typically pitting values traditionally considered conservative against values traditionally considered progressive or liberal.
- I could see this point of view - that people who have other things to worry about due to "not being elite" would look at the culture wars as being less important, relevant, or pertinent to their lives.
- Academics like to analyze the culture wars - does this mean that they are arguing and bringing them into being, or more so just analyzing them in post? It could be both, I think. They may even bring them into being (or just crystallize them into something more than they originally were) by analyzing them.
- A [UK study](https://www.theguardian.com/society/2020/oct/24/culture-wars-are-fought-by-tiny-minority-uk-study) found that "culture wars are fought by a tiny minority".

TLDR
Perspective plays a large role on what is/isn’t commonly considered.
I am a 20 something on an iPhone in my living room typing this after having a discussion on the public perspective on those transitioning in the public eye.
Whether or not I like to admit it, chances are that this prompt of thought is at a disadvantage for the mere fact that it is on an online site not connected to Facebook.
And what I mean is, most of the everyday people I know who use the internet, typically only use Facebook.
Many don’t use social media at all.
So asking for opinions on a topic like this is almost inherently biased.
(I know myself well enough to understand that I probably fall into the aforementioned educated if not necessarily the elites. )
And while I doubt every person here is an elite , I would most definitely say educated. ( no matter the type of education)
To those who live their lives based in daily tasks and providing and surviving?
Anyone sitting down to discuss Culture Wars has a luxury that those who would not consider themselves elites do not have.
