**TL;DR - Easter has chocolate, is cheaper, and has better weather. What more can you want from a holiday?** Firstly, Easter brings chocolate (or for me as a vegan non-dairy chocolate or another assortment of yummie food!) This is what I always used to look forward to as a child. I would gorge myself until I was sick as it was one of the only days when my parents lifted their ‘only healthy snacks’ rule. This has pretty much stayed with me. I make sure I eat all the nutrients I need in a day and sometimes have a treat when my body wants one. However, Easter is the only day that I do not pay close attention to nutrients and eat all the goodness of sweet treats. Easter is also much cheaper than other holidays. On Halloween you have costumes, and on Christmas you have all the presents, which is a lot of pressure. Easter is a way of showing someone you care to get them a treat without spending a lot of money. Finally, Easter has better weather. I love on Easter weekend eating all the goodies whilst sitting outside with my friends (in a pub garden or one of their gardens,) and drinking a beer or cider. Despite the weather not being massively predictable in the UK, it is usually much better weather than Christmas or Halloween and lands right as it starts getting warmer outside. And, do I even need to mention Easter egg hunts? All the fun, with more of the sun and little of the money! **No costumes, no presents, some get a day off, and a random bunny. Here are the top 5 reasons why Easter is the worst and least charismatic holiday.** **1. The extra-long church services.** Childish complain , but still valid. No matter who you are, no one enjoys sitting through two hours of an Easter vigil, and there's also no way you're still happy having to get up the next morning. **2. Bunnies.** Sure they look cool on T-shirts and as taxidermy, but rabbits are crap pets. Ever have one as a kid? They do basically nothing cool besides eat and shiver whenever you try to pick them up. So why are they associated with Easter? I am so unimpressed by them I can’t even be bothered to google it. **3. Too much religion to remember.** Admittedly I'm not religious though I gladly enjoy the spoils of Christmas and Easter. It does make me feel bad though since I really should do some research and learn the significance and difference between Palm Sunday, Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday besides one of those days being someone's day off. Easter implies research therefore not good. **4. We're literally stealing a pagan holiday, again.** Well, Santa Clause is not alone. It turns out Easter actually began as a pagan mega-festival celebrating spring in the Northern Hemisphere, long before the advent of Christianity. People have celebrated the equinoxes and the solstices as sacred times for centuries before the holiday was associated with Christianity. **5. Easter is basically a holiday created by capitalism to sell you more chocolate and greeting cards.** Hot take, but here we go. The Commercialization during the 19th century saw the rabbit trend take off becoming a popular symbol of Easter. Big companies at the time, like Cadbury in England, started manufacturing chocolate eggs. Card companies like Hallmark became big by launching cute images of little rabbits and Easter eggs on the cards. **TL;DR - Easter is not the best holiday because this place rightfully belongs to Christmas. Christmas is more festive, atmospheric and cozier than Easter. It is no coincidence that it is called the most wonderful time of the year**. First of all, Christmas decorations are way better than Easter decorations. Christmas lights and Christmas trees pair with other kinds of festive decorations to make homes cozier and boost the Christmas spirit by creating a sense of magic and hope felt by the whole family. Also, for those who say that Easter is a more religious holiday, Christmas is deeply religious too. William Chamblee agrees when he says that for 'a Christian, Christmas signifies the birth of Jesus Christ, my lord and savior, and serves as a wonderful time to celebrate that. But whether Christmas for you is a religious holiday or just a time to reconnect with family and friends, it stills holds an impact' ( [Baylor Lariat](https://baylorlariat.com/2020/11/16/christmas-is-the-greatest-holiday/#:~:text=Christmas%20is%20also%20a%20beautiful,you%20gave%20them%20and%20smiles.&text=That%20is%20why%20Christmas%20is%20the%20best%20holiday.) ). Christmas is the season of hope and family, represented by what we traditionally celebrate. Last but not least, Christmas is all about eating and drinking, which add to the feeling of family and community. It's the season of sweets and hot chocolate with a wide range of traditional food, and it surely cannot get any better than this.

I have to disagree, mainly because we don´t celebrate East in Spain, but a festive called Semana Santa, which is primarily religious. I prefer Christmas because nothing compares to Christmas music, movies, decoration and SNOW. I think that Christmas is most beautiful because we are with our loved ones, especially and hopefully this year we´ll be able to reunite together. I always enjoy Christmas because most of the time, it is a happy time and joyful time, and it always cheers me up.
