This is what I always used to look forward to as a child. I would gorge myself until I was sick as it was one of the only days when my parents lifted their ‘only healthy snacks’ rule. This has pretty much stayed with me. I make sure I eat all the nutrients I need in a day and sometimes have a treat when my body wants one. However, Easter is the only day that I do not pay close attention to nutrients and eat all the goodness of sweet treats. Easter is also much cheaper than other holidays. On Halloween you have costumes, and on Christmas you have all the presents, which is a lot of pressure. Easter is a way of showing someone you care to get them a treat without spending a lot of money. Finally, Easter has better weather. I love on Easter weekend eating all the goodies whilst sitting outside with my friends (in a pub garden or one of their gardens,) and drinking a beer or cider. I have to disagree, mainly because we don´t celebrate East in Spain, but a festive called Semana Santa, which is primarily religious. I prefer Christmas because nothing compares to Christmas music, movies, decoration and SNOW. I think that Christmas is most beautiful because we are with our loved ones, especially and hopefully this year we´ll be able to reunite together.
