It depends on how you see friendship! I would say that a friendship should be based on the sharing of common values, seeing the world in a similar or complementary way, and enjoying each other's company.
Friendships based on the mutual dislike of a third party might develop and last, but in such cases, the sharing of a common enemy would not be the reason for the friendship, only for the introduction to one another.
Whenever someone helps me overcome enemies, they become my friends. This is a golden nugget of human wisdom, cherish and spread it

This is one of the stupidest sayings in the history of human thought. Sometimes the enemy of your enemy is EVEN WORSE than your enemy and you need to completely change your plans.
I’m not sure if that saying is true because people see friendship different in different ways and most people who have true friends , they tend to share similar values. So when it comes to friendship, that saying doesn’t actually mean anything.
