When I was growing up, Pokemon played a big role in our household. My brother and I were collecting Pokemon cards, trading, battling, and watching the television show every day after school. We grew up in the 90s. Today I am seeing the exact same thing in households of young kids. Pokemon is as popular as ever. In 2016 when Pokemon Go came out, the pokemon stock skyrocketed. This shows the popularity of the app. Today Pokemon has young fans and adult fans alike who grew up with the franchise. When parents are able to share the love for a franchise with their kids it creates such a special bond between them. Those memories will last for years and be shared with the kids' future kids and so on. As long as there continue to be updated on the animation of the shows and new Pokemon or reimagined versions of old ones, Pokemon will always be relevant.
