Yes! They have been underfunded for years. When you look at the prison population and juvenile detention center population a good percentage of that population has a mental health issue. When it comes to juveniles they also have a hard time finding beds in a mental hospital. There are not enough available. I only see this problem getting worse especially with COVID. COVID has increased the number of people who are depressed and have anxiety. There are not enough mental health services available to help everyone.

To me, the only counterargument to this article is not wanting to live in sin. You learn so much more about a person when you share a living space. You are able to see the good and the bad when people can so easily hide it. Living together also helps the relationship blossom into something even deeper. You are able to 'hang out’ with them without actually doing anything. Being together and not doing anything is very important for a long-term relationship. You don’t always need to be doing something to enjoy each other's company. Finally, when you live together you are able to help each other with small tasks. For example cleaning the house, laundry, or cleaning the kitchen becomes less of a burden when you have someone that is able to help.

I'm going to begin by clarifying my opinion really quickly. Essential oils are as good as over-the-counter medications when it comes to treating minor issues like a headache, nausea, or a minor anxiety attack. My three main examples of essential oils being better than over-the-counter medications are peppermint, Frankincense, and Lavender. Peppermint is used for minor nausea, it has personally been helping me for over a year now. Frankincense is used for small headaches and finally lavender is used for anxiety and stress. I have been able to get off of as-needed medication because I started using essential oils.

I think it depends purely on the couple that is being talked about. And the traditions that those families hold. Some women choose their new husband's last name because there is a bad association with her current last name. Maybe she has a bad relationship with that side of the family and wanted to get rid of her association with it.

Personally, I just got married and I have no plans on changing my last name at this moment. But that is due to all the paperwork, the huge pain it would be and there are only two males left that have the same last name as me. Our last name will slowly disappear. So I want to keep it around if I can.

Reading is definitely a good relaxing hobby. But what about playing video games, painting, or watching a movie? These can be just as relaxing. I love reading a good book but some days I just want to lay down and watch a movie. It doesn't make one hobby more relaxing than the other. Each hobby is best for different situations and people.

Even though it is easy to read where ever you go it's just as easy to watch TV, a movie, or play video games due to new technology coming out every day.

I personally have a huge issue with Valentine's Day. We don't need an excuse to show our love for people that we care about, we should be doing that every day. Valentines Day is a commercial holiday to drive up sales for flowers and candy. Because of this commercialization of the holiday, I don't know what its original purpose was without Googling it.

St. Patrick Day in the United States is another good example. It is celebrated by the consumption of beer and wearing the color green. Other than that nothing is ever really talked about.

Surfing is not the best water sport because it takes too long to master. In order to 'be good' at surfing and truly enjoy your time on the water, you have to spend countless hours practicing. For someone who does not live near an ocean, this is not probable. I believe that kayaking or paddle boarding is the best water sport because everyone in the family can do it and you don't have to be a particular skill level to have fun.

Growing up I always knew I would be an amazing mom. I have worked with kids for years and they always seem to love me. But this world is overpopulated, and there are many kids in this world without families. I believe that when a couple decides not to have kids that they shouldn’t be frowned on. Or when a young woman says that she doesn’t want them or doesn’t know, people shouldn't be trying to change her mind. As a young woman, this is incredibly infuriating. We don’t need or want other people telling us that we will change our mind later in life.

Is it such a terrible thing that a young couple wants to focus on themselves and not raising a child? Or that their hard-earned money is spent on themselves and things they want to do rather than spending it on raising a child? A lot of people see someone as being successful when they see they own a house and have kids and can still have fun. But is having kids really a step in being successful? Or living a fulfilling life? It shouldn’t have to be.
To make this opinion more clear, I am not saying people shouldn’t have kids.

I am just saying young couples and women shouldn’t be held to the standard that they NEED to have kids.

Changing your hair is a good way to express yourself to men and women no matter the age. There has been a funny ‘saying’ going around that, you know when you mess up a relationship when a woman changes her hair after the relationship is over. It shows that she is wanting a change. I think that goes for everyone.
Changing your hair color and/or style can be seen as a big thing. It's also a good stress reliever when people feel like their life is out of control. One of the things they can control is the style and color of their hair. It may seem strange to some people but to others it is everything. When I was in high school every weekend my best friend and I would color our hair. It was our way of having control over our lives and showing everyone else our ‘true colors’. Personally, those are some of my favorite memories.

On Dec. 20, 2019, the US raised the federal minimum wage of the sale of tobacco to 21. The federal minimum wage to buy alcohol in the US is also 21. In multiple states in the US, the recreational use of marijuana has also been approved for those 21 and over. I find it very hard to believe that someone who can’t make an adult decision to smoke or drink is able to risk their life for their country. When someone turns 18 they still don’t truly know what they want to do with their life. Making the decision to join the army should not be taken lightly. The age should be raised to 21 giving kids a few more years to think about it.

Joining the army is a life-altering decision. You are potentially risking your life, give them a couple more years to mature and make sure they understand the decision they are making. If the US believes that someone who can make a life-altering decision can’t drink or smoke. Something needs to be changed.

They would have to align all three; alcohol, smokes, and the age to enlist in the army.

I completely disagree. Fifty Shades of Grey shows controversial sexual practices between two consensual adults. Anastasia Steel chose to be in the situation in the story. She had several chances where she could have chosen to walk away. Christian does control aspects of her life but it part of the BDSM culture they have both chosen to be apart of. A lot of the BDSM culture controls, one partner having control over the other. But both partners have given permission to be put in the situation and are able to walk away whenever they choose.

I don't believe so. If it's consensual that implies if one of the parties doesn't like it they will stop. It is a very fine line though.

There is an exception where someone is being groomed and they give consent but they don't know any better due to the grooming.

If college in the US would be free then there would no longer be top schools for certain fields. We wouldn't have prestigious college professors. There would be no competition.
If there is an option for free colleges and colleges where you have to pay then that may be able to work. But it would still create some problems. There needs to be some sort of competition or there is no point. Education would begin to lack. The k-12 system in the US is lacking. There are many schools that are struggling with a lack of classroom supplies. Where teachers have to pay for supplies out of their teaching salary. This is not okay. If college in the US became free eventually we would run into the same problem.

When you come home after work from a stressful day at the office, who do you say hello to first? Your husband/wife or the animal that is there greeting you at the door? And who is truly more excited to see you? My answer for both of those is my dogs. They can’t wait to see me when I get home. As soon as they hear the beep of my car locking, I can hear them crying and barking inside just waiting for me to open the door.

When it comes to animals being a good source of stress relief, all animals are considered. Especially in today’s world where we are stuck at home more than most of us would like. Having a small (or large) creature at home that you can talk to about anything with no judgment is priceless.
There are multiple studies available online that show having an office bet helps with the productiveness of the staff. Even if they are spending some of their time giving affection to these animals, they are still being more productive than they were before.

When I was growing up, Pokemon played a big role in our household. My brother and I were collecting Pokemon cards, trading, battling, and watching the television show every day after school. We grew up in the 90s. Today I am seeing the exact same thing in households of young kids. Pokemon is as popular as ever.

In 2016 when Pokemon Go came out, the pokemon stock skyrocketed. This shows the popularity of the app. Today Pokemon has young fans and adult fans alike who grew up with the franchise. When parents are able to share the love for a franchise with their kids it creates such a special bond between them. Those memories will last for years and be shared with the kids' future kids and so on. As long as there continue to be updated on the animation of the shows and new Pokemon or reimagined versions of old ones, Pokemon will always be relevant.

Currently, in the US there is talk of raising the federal minimum wage to $15. I think this is a terrible idea. With raising the minimum wage companies will have to raise their prices in order to pay their employees the new minimum wage. Which lands us back where we started. Everything will increase in price because the cost of labor has increased. A gallon of milk that may cost $1 will now cost $3 due to all the different people it takes to get that gallon of milk to the store. This is an example not what may actually happen.

It would be especially rough for the states where the minimum wage is currently less than $10. It could potentially change your way of living, things won’t cost the same. Everything we buy someone has been paid to put there or create it.

If the federal minimum wage is increased the cost of living will also be increased. It won’t solve anything.

If you believe that the concept of landlords is not beneficial to society. Then what do you suggest they do? I have personally had good and (very) bad landlords. Landlords are protecting their assets or their clients' assets. I believe rather than blaming landlords we need to fix the system and make it more people-orientated rather than asset-orientated. The landlords are not the problem, they are just taking advantage of a system that puts them first. I think in certain situations most people would do the same.

I personally have a really hard time with this one. I used to work in a Juvenile Detention Facility where each juvenile go their own room and were allowed out periodically throughout the day. But if the juvenile had been behaving poorly they were stuck in their room.

Is this statement referring to Juvenile facilities or adult facilities? If it's in regards to juvenile facilities then yes solitary confinement is for the most part not happening. In my experience, all juveniles got some time out of their room to interact with other kids or the staff.

If this statement is in regards to adult facilities it should be continued. Why? for several reasons. Do you know what happens to a pedophile in a room full of men who know what he did? Well, he gets raped and beat. What happens to an adult who has mental issues and is trying to hurt themselves? They get to start a fight with anyone in the room and get exactly what they wanted. Generally speaking, solitary confinement is used to help the inmate stay safe. When solitary confinement is used as a punishment... Well, I don't agree with that. Only in the instances where it is used for the inmate's safety is it okay with me.

When you get home after a long and tough day after work who is the first one to greet you? Your dog! Cats are very independent creatures that can get along fine without their person. But your dog? No way. Some get separation anxiety when you leave the house, crying for hours on end. Who else is going to give you that much love and devotion? If you come home from committing a terrible crime, your dog doesn’t care. They are just as happy to see you. They are truly man's or woman's best friend.

Dogs are also easier to train than dogs. You can play with them in the backyard, take them for walks and hikes. Some cats can do this too, but not many. Cats are not easy to train as they are not eager to please like dogs are. Dogs are able to accompany their humans when they go hunting. Fetching birds and flushing other critters out of the bushes for their person. They are able to do so many more things with you than cats are.

Dogs are pack animals and are always looking to their humans to take the lead. Some want to cuddle and know that you are there. When you are upset most dogs want to make you feel better. By licking your face, or nudging you, or by just getting your attention off of what's making you sad.

Cats bring dead creatures inside your home, that may carry various forms of disease and other little bugs on them.

Not all dogs eat their own poop. Generally, there is a reason they are doing it like they are missing a particular nutrient from their diet and are trying to get it by eating poop.

I personally am truly happy with the sex I was born with. Even if you are not happy with it, there are ways to change it. There are many new advances in technology that are able to help.

I also disagree. Thanks to Microsoft we have many forms of technology we wouldn't have without them. Like Microsoft office and the Xbox. I know many people would be extremely upset without theirs.

I believe that somewhere in the universe there is another type of lifeform out there. The universe is too vast for there not to be. We don’t know much about the universe outside of the Milky Way. So there is no proof that there are other life forms but there is no evidence saying there aren’t. We are the main creature in our galaxy and there is little proof of anything else in our galaxy. But outside of our galaxy, there is definitely something out there. We could even assume those lifeforms may be similar to us because who's to say otherwise?

By making fanfiction part of the canon of the story, it takes away from what the author originally intended. I think that authors and artists that do fanfiction have a right to publish their work, with the original author's permission. But I don't believe other people can make money off of someone else's idea, without their explicit permission. I understand that today it is very difficult to have an 'original' idea, but taking ideas from multiple sources and creating a new story with it, is not fanfiction. Fanfiction is an additional story or character, that is based on the original character that the original artist or author created. Those should not be seen as canon as it wasn't the original artists' idea.

I disagree. I believe that they should not be taxed, or should be taxed like other medical equipment. Rather than having an additional tax on them just because of what they are. Having period products be free creates a few problems. Who is going to pay for them? Well, the simple answer would be that everyone would. It would have to be an additional tax on everyone. If they were free we also wouldn't have as many options because it wouldn't be seen as an industry where companies can make money. There are many organic pads and tampons, there are even cups and other new(ish) devices on the market today because it is profitable. I personally would only use products that are organic, because then I know there are no additional chemicals in the products. Without a market where companies can make money off of these products, I doubt organic products would be in circulation. They would use the cheapest products available.

It’s very simple, you can always make more money but you can’t get more time. The biggest argument I see is that you need time to make money. But would you rather be home with your kids playing with legos and making memories or at your office answering emails?

Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is a play that happens years after the Battle at Hogwarts. Whether or not people like the story doesn’t matter because JK Rowling was involved in the writing of the story, therefore making it cannon. I personally wasn’t the biggest fan of the storyline, because I do not believe that Voldemort had any children. But, the play itself was phenomenal. The interesting thing is there are countless events that take place in The Cursed Child that many people believe can’t happen. For example, Voldemort having a child, but JK Rowling never says whether he does or not. The fact remains that JK Rowling was involved with the writing of the story and that is the sole reason why it is canon and people should stop complaining about it.

Coming out of high school, is anyone really prepared for the ‘real’ world? Most kids are ready to get out of their parent’s house and into their college dorm or college town. But is that considered the real world? Generally, not. Students graduate college around the age of 21-22. But are these kids prepared to take on what life is going to throw at them? If you are not an accounting student, are they prepared to do their taxes? Or get their own insurance on the vehicle they just bought?

There are so many ‘adult’ duties that are thrown at people between the ages of 18-25. Who prepares us for this? Some people are fortunate enough to have their parents walk them through everything, but others are not as lucky.

How many kids are prepared to do their own laundry when they reach college? Or sew a hole in their favorite shirt? Many of these questions are rhetorical as there are more kids than you would think that don’t know how to do a lot of the things talked about, especially in my experience in the US. There are many other things that our educational system no longer teaches students, and this should be fixed. Children should be taught about taxes, insurance, laundry, and even how to fix their own clothes.

Good question lol. I think these definitely hit the main mark. As far as others, perhaps bank account management.

Abortion should be available to women. Period. Mistakes can happen to where a woman becomes pregnant and she is just flat out not ready, or she already has many mouths to feed with no additional help. There are even situations where the woman's body can’t take the pregnancy and there are high odds that it would kill her. In some states in the US it is illegal for her to seek an abortion for her own health. There are countless sad stories about situations similar to this. Abortion doesn’t need to become a religious debate. But what a woman does with her body shouldn’t be everyone’s business. If your neighbor was thinking about it, and you don’t generally talk to her. Is it really your place?
One of the biggest (US) arguemnts against abortion is that taxpayers should not be paying for it. And I happen to agree with this. But that doesn’t mean that abortion shouldn’t be made available. It is a form of healthcare and should be available to all.
