Man + Woman = Child
anything else is an abomination

Abomination, as in 'cause of disgust'?
On what grounds?
Nature? History? Tradition?

Yup a child is way better in an unloving, unstable single / M&F household than a loving stable gay one.
Yup a child is better shoved around foster care than a proper loving home.

Your point is totally valid, but - just from a tone perspective - sarcasm (even gentle sarcasm like here!) is reliably not good at engaging the other side 🙃!
I put together a very rough set of [guidelines for conversation](https://www.parlia.com/article/keeping-it-civil). Please make suggestions for improvement!

Yeah lets make a straw man and compare it to a "loving homosexual family". How about the opposite then? They should make adoption easier and fund it by government. Even better place kids in families that already have 1~2 kids so the adopted kid will feel better.

You reject the notion that a family with homosexual parents can be loving and healthy? Never mind gay couples for a second, I'd argue that you don't even need to be a couple to raise a kid well. An uncle and a random roommate who happens to be very good with kids? Yeah, they can absolutely take dominant parental roles, and be pretty darn good at it. Family isn't defined by our genes, it's defined by US.
Now, I do see some subtle benefits to the male/female combo in the sense that two gay guys explaining tampons to a young woman is going to be almost academic, where a woman can explain this in a much more personal, practical way. A female doesn't usually know that much about mustache management, so no direct lesson to pass on there either.
But that's literally all I can think of. Petty details. The biological details that make men and women different are not THAT big.

A child needs a safe, loving supportive home. If a couple or even a single parent can provide that and is willing to love and support a child then they should be allowed to adopt. There is no reason or any evidence at all that same sex couple cannot be incredible parents. Every child deserves a family and same sex parents can provide a family just like heterosexual parents can, there is no difference at all. In fact there is a research paper highlighting a study that found that children of same-sex parents perform better in school (Mazrekaj et al, 2019). Although achievement in school is a limited test as to a child's upbringing and the study is limited and I am in no ways suggesting that heterosexual parents are at fault; the study is evidence that same sex couples can make amazing parents and provide a loving, accepting home for children and therefore should be allowed to adopt. Denying same-sex couples the ability to adopt on account of their sexuality is not only extremely homophobic and violating of a persons human right to a family life but also denies a child of a family.

But then the vast majority of gays are either sexually promiscuous or they might have STDs or they might be going to gay parades, dressed as semi naked butterflies doing sexual acts in public, calling it "pride".
How do we rule out the majority of homosexuals that do such a life?

Hey @VirtualPoser
Thanks for contributing to Parlia, and for sharing your thoughts. This feels discriminatory in its language, though: you're stereotyping and judging on the basis of those stereotypes, which is never fair.
Having spent a [LOT of time](https://www.parlia.com/article/opinion-parlia-podcast) thinking about the best ways to argue and debate, we've come up with a series of guidelines. Please have a look and make suggestions in the discussion section!

Adoption agencies often screen prospective parents regardless of their sexualities. Hence, I would imagine that issue should be promptly addressed during that stage.
Beyond the practical aspect, anecdotal evidence does not constitute strong arguments. Homosexual couples are, in fact, [divorcing at lower rates](https://www.danddfamilylaw.com/same-sex-marriage-divorce-rates/) than heterosexual ones.

Not to sound discriminatory against heterosexual couples, but homosexual couples have often been some of the best parents I've known.
There is nothing about a homosexual couple that would make them inherently worse parents. There might be some additional struggles with a girl growing up with two dads, or vice versa, due to having a parent of their own gender to relate to. But this same issue applies to single parents.
Furthermore, since there isn't a way for homosexual couples to reproduce sexually, then there is no "accidental" or "unplanned" pregnancy. Couples must have planned it out before making their decision, and met certain requirements to be parents.
There is even an evolutionary argument that suggests parenthood and other social involvement may have been the reason homosexuality wasn't very strongly selected against, and thus why it is comparatively common in humans.
Finally, the main issue people seem to have is that they believe couples should be a man and a woman for reproductive reasons. But if that's the case, then simply being infertile would also be blasphemous. As well as being a couple that simply hasn't had children. There is no difference between a homosexual couple, and any other form of non-reproducing couple.

Get a pet instead. Kids that are in adoption houses are already unlucky and will suffer emotionally in society for feeling rejected. Kids belong to themselves and they need parents to take care of them.
I wouldn't give a kid that already exists to someone who self identifies as their sexual fetish.
