**TL;DR Summer is the best season because we are able to spend more time outdoors, which is beneficial to both our physical and mental health**. Summer is the best season because the days are so much longer and so much warmer. We are able to spend so much of our time outdoors compared to other seasons where we have a very limited amount of sunlight. The season of summer is beneficial for our physical health as the extra time outdoors means more time that our bodies are moving and enjoying the sunshine, such as walking amongst nature. The warmer weather also means that it is possible to spend time in the lakes / seas partaking in activities such as surfing, paddle boarding or swimming which are so beneficial for our physical health. Summer is also great for our mental health. The sun provides us with more Vitamin D which is proven to increase energy levels and aids us in helping diseases. It also makes us feel happier. The longer days also mean that we have more time to spend with our friends and families. Evidence has shown that good relationships with these people are vital for our mental wellbeing and socialising with the ones we love can improve happiness levels. More time outdoors during summer can also help with out concentration, a study found that children with ADHD seem to focus better after being outdoors. Summer is the best season because it is the time of the year when we are at our healthiest and happiest. Spring is the best season because it has the most wonderful weather, the temperature is perfect and the sun shines again. The reason why spring days are better than summer days is because spring days are accompanied by a fresh breeze. The hot summer sun makes people sweaty and sticky, whereas the spring sunshine is perfect and marks the end of the cold winter. The mild temperature of spring is warm enough that you can comfortably go out and enjoy the fresh air, whereas I find myself too hot in summer months. A study by the University of Michigan suggests that many others feel the same, determining that spring is 'beneficial, with pleasant weather improving mood, memory and broadening cognitive style' but that 'hotter weather during the summer, however, lowered mood levels and the effect of pleasant weather was far less noticeable in other seasons.' **TL;DR - Winter is actually the best season of the year because it is the season for cosiness and Christmas**. For me, while seasons like spring and summer have the warm weather, winter is best for the magic of the snow and the cosiness of the whole atmosphere. Winter is the season of snuggling, hot chocolate, and comfortable lazy Sundays wearing warm clothes that make you feel extra cosy because of the cold weather outside. Christmas is a huge bonus. It is not called 'the most wonderful time of the year' for no reason, as it is a time of family gatherings, food, and a whole variety of traditions. Winter brings happy memories because of these traditions. As Madeline Diamond says, '[w]hether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, or none of the above, winter is the perfect time to gather together with family and celebrate the season'. Winter has something in for everyone. Have I mentioned the hot chocolate? It is one of the main reasons winter is the best season of the year. As Roxii Hoare-Smith correctly observes, '[i]sn’t this an obvious reason?'. Out of all the seasons of the year, I've grown to appreciate the summer as my personal favorite season. The most blatant reason, of course, is summer vacation. The time of the year when we get a nice break from the everyday stress of homework, projects, quizzes, tests, as well as the lengthy, dull hours spent in one place that starts far too early in the morning. And we had to deal with it for nine months straight with only the occasional break during Columbus Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Martin Luther King Day and spring break. Finally, I had all the time I needed to catch up on video games, read a lot of books, and do not get me started on the summer blockbusters. This also left time to hang out with friends and extended family more frequently. Of course, we grow up and develop different perspectives. But even after graduating high school and college, I still think of the season of summer the most fondly. The days, as catrinw notes, are longer, which brings more time to enjoy about the day. More things to do outside. For parents, the summer season brings them more time to spend with their children. There is also something sweet about summer. The air is more fragrant. It is more sweet-smelling. The atmosphere invites gratification. Outdoor activities are more pleasant, more rewarding. We can go for bike rides, swim in the outdoor neighborhood pool, have a picnic in the field. These are things that can only be enjoyed primarily in the summer. There are numerous reasons to love summer the most I could list. But I will like to end that the enjoyment of summer does not have to end with high school or even college graduation. It can be a time of the year to take moments to appreciate the atmosphere that allows us to take part in activities we otherwise would never be able to enjoy in any other season of the year.

In my opinion. Autumn is the best season. The fall season has beautiful colours. The red and golden-yellow colours of the maple trees and variations of the two are particularly vivid. It's not difficult to say goodbye to summer when the cooler temperatures of autumn arrive. Autumn is a perfect time to dust off your jackets, coats, boots, scarves, and scarfs and sweaters in preparation for the forthcoming change of seasons. This season has the perfect weather because it's not too hot and neither cold. Like spring, autumn is part of a lovely period of death, rebirth, and regrowth. The ground's dead leaves and branches decompose and become part of the soil, serving as seeds and fertilizer until the cold weather gives way to warmer weather. 1- https://hellosalamanca.es/reasons-why-autumn-is-the-best-season/

**TL;DR- Summer was my favourite season as a child; it meant no school, going on holiday, longer, warmer days, and my birthday. However, with the UK summers getting hotter every year and heat sucking the fun out of everything, I now think it is definitely the worst season.** I can't remember the last time there was a summer in the UK without constant heatwaves hitting 40 degrees. Whenever the headline 'Britain to bask in 30 degree heatwave' came up on my news-feed last year and the year before (and probably this year as well), I let out a sigh of contempt. It also feels like the headline 'hottest summer for 40 years' is something that pops up an awful lot. When it's this hot, the positive effects of the sunny weather can reverse- being in a good mood due to the warmth can quickly, and often does, turn into lack of motivation and energy because the intense heat is so draining. This heat exhaustion is particularly hard during physical activity and going to work, which is also more chaotic in the summer (e.g. outdoor sports events are more popular, and pubs become absolutely packed with customers, which is hard on the staff who have to work through the heat whilst wearing uniform). It's true that being out in the sun can boost your mental and physical health. However, this is much more effective in May or September for example, when it's still warm, but not so hot that it can give you sun stroke. Also, when it's cold, it's easier to get warm (e.g. by putting more layers on). Yet when you're already boiling in shorts and a t-shirt, it is much harder to cool down.
