People should always, always be treated as individuals, in jobs, in schools and anything else. What is the benefit of quotas?

I work in the tech industry and my company says they hope to increase their female staff from 30% to 35% in the next few years. How are they going to do that if not discriminating against men at some point in the recruitment stage or just firing men for being men?

Whether someone is male or female, black or white, fat or thin, bald or Bigfoot should not matter. Are left-wingers really now on the side of discrimination?

Why? Who would teach these classes? Such a socially charged issue is not the kind of thing that should be taught in schools, as you'd likely get a teacher who feels extremely strongly on either side of the issue, thus polarizing kids.

Also, how exactly does it help kids to learn about incredibly vague concepts like this? What would the curriculum be? Why would anyone want a kid learning these things instead of just general government and politics for instance?
It's just going pure indoctrination by a teacher and school with strong opinions on the matter

The North does not wish to join the Republic and the Republic does not wish the North to join them. Both would prefer an independent North to a united, independent Ireland, so supporting it is to oppose democracy

The end result doesn't matter so long as people are treated equally and given equal opportunities. Pursuit of equity involves discrimination

For later education, it is not the primary job of a school to teach children how to be good and moral people. That should be the role of parents. Early school should equip you with essential skills of reading, writing and maths and give socialisation, while later education should prepare you for the world of work, in my opinion
