Put simply, Star Wars has much higher highs and much lower lows. And personally, I find it very much worth sitting through those lows in order to experience the highs. I'm not sure I'd say the same for Star Trek.
Education · Eternals · UniversityUniversity is worth itFor1 comment·Jul 2, 2021
The course itself is worth it for sure if you're studying a STEM course or something else highly employable, even if it can sometimes take a while to find a full-time job in your field after graduating (although there are plenty of courses where you're paying a ridiculous amount of money to study a meme degree in something Google could just as easily teach you with enough research). But the real reason university is worth it is because for many young people, it's the first experience they'll get living away from home properly, interacting with people and making their way in the world without as much of their family's direct help. And for plenty of those young people, that experience is invaluable. Although this isn't counting those who just go to the university in their home city, live at their parents' house and survive off Daddy's money...
Eurovision · In the News · Pop cultureEurovision is politicalFor1 comment·Jul 2, 2021
Eurovision isn't all politics, and usually the winner is well deserved... but after where the UK finished this year on the back of Brexit, there can be very little doubt that a political element has solidly manifested itself in the contest.

Obviously your child should be able to trust you with certain things, but forcing your child to tell you EVERY intimate detail about their personal/private life only leads to you raising a child that becomes very good at lying.
