I don't know about mysogynistic, but I certainly do feel sorry for anyone who is legitimately named Karen, and is suddenly burdened with shame that they didn't ask for and don't deserve, just because someone decided that this was a good derogatory term for entitled white women.

I don't know why it's become ascribed specifically to white women. Most people I've seen displaying those traits are black.

My name is ‘Rob’, by itself a form of violent crime, or can be short handed to ‘Bob’, occasionally a euphemism for fellatio. *name burdens… you’re not Adolph*
Most Karen’s I’ve met recognize the archetype and aren’t bothered because it doesn’t apply to them.

"Inherently"? Yikes.
Not to mention, we call dudes Karens sometimes. Karen is a concept describing a bitchy person. To act like you don't know what we're talking about when we describe Karen-like behavior is just you being disruptive to the conversation for absolutely no reason.
Now, is Karen inherently offensive? Well yeah, that's the point of it.

(Just to clarify, I wrote this ‘opinion’ but I _don’t_ agree with it. I wrote it in a deliberately inflammatory way to represent the views I’ve seen by some commentators online. Happy arguing!)

Not mysogynistic, but certainly racist as "karen" is used to describe white middle aged women. Sounds pretty racist to me.

Definitely it's sometimes used quite in a misogynistic way, calling people this rude slang just for their haircut, but honestly it's just slang. If we use it just to say that someone is rude and self-absorbed then it's okay. But Karen as of now has been socialised with racism and sexism. Just make sure you are not using the word to actually offend anyone and you are in the clear!
- Always be patient! You have no clue what the person experienced today!
