Criminals kill people, sometimes they use guns. Guns do nothing by themselves.

I couldn't disagree more. Guns are inanimate objects. Guns can be used in the commission of murder, but guns don't kill people under their own volition. As you have noted, there are plenty of other means to kill. In the last year murderers have incinerated their victims, drown them, strangled them with pants... Do we say fire kills people? Water? Pants? Of course not, it's an absurd talking point that has been accepted by the general public.

National Service ≠ Military Service

National service could include things like US Forest Service, Border Patrol, National Park Service, Federal Highway Administration, etc., etc.

If you have more than one cat and they are kept indoors, having them declawed is the responsible thing to do. They don't need their front claws. The only thing they'll do with them is use their claws against each other when they spar with each other, which is inevitable.

Removing a child's hands?!? GTFOH No one is talking about removing a cat's paws. You obviously don't own any cats, and haven't spent much time around them. If you did, you'd realize that they won't want sit still every week or so for claw trimming, which brings with it it's own risks. A once-and-done procedure leads to much happier pets.

And yeah, I read your post. I thought it was garbage written by someone who doesn't live with cats.
