Should we have daylight saving time?

Daylight saving time has been around for over a century now. Recently, however, some debate has sparked as to whether or not it is still necessary to partake in. Are there truly benefits of participating in it? Or is it an outdated concept of the 20th century?

We should have daylight saving time

Daylight saving time has existed for so long without many negative consequences, so there's no reason to get rid of it now.

Daylight saving time reduces energy usage

Partaking in daylight saving time has been shown to reduce energy usage.

Daylight saving time reduces pollution

By reducing pollution, daylight saving time also reduces negative effects from energy usage on climate change.

We should not have daylight saving time

Ultimately, the costs outweigh the benefits of this outdated concept.

Daylight saving time is outdated

Daylight saving time was created for the 20th century and should be left in that era.

Daylight saving time negatively affects religion

It disrupts religious practices that are based on the sun (sunrise, sunset, etc).

Daylight saving time supports some companies but not others.

The concept helps companies who benefit from sunlight and harms those who don't.
